This very little Maori place is free to visit.
There is not really anything special. All you can see is a couple of Maori buildings and some thermal activity (smoking water) nearby.

It is relaxing and cosy, good for families and history lovers.
You get a nice view from the top. Sadly you drive the same way down, which was less exciting.

Founders Park is a cosy place and a very interesting place to visit.
You see how the city looked in the old day. It was a bit expensive compared to the size and experiences in the park.

The park is located in walking distance to the city.
It shows a bit of Rotorua thermal activity, but nothing compared to any of the paid thermal parks. It is still interesting and free, so worth a visit.

Rotorua Museum looks stunning from the outside.
The garden is definitely worth a visit. Despite from that there is nothing that is special and exclusive for Rotorua Museum.

It was very interesting and informative.
It is great for both families and young people, large variation of different exhibitions.

Auckland Skytower offers a great view over Auckland, but it is a shame you have to pay to be able to come upstairs.

A short walk down to the beach and you will appear in paradise, lovely sand and blue water, but too many people.

You do not really get a lot of hot water.
It was a bit disappointing, but otherwise the beach was nice. Remember a shovel as hands do not work.
