Offers a nice view of Wellington, the airport and the harbour and is very accessible from the centre of the city.

Biking from Torea Bay to Camp Bay was a physically challenging but very rewarding experience.
The track offers spectacular views of the Sounds, particularly Eatwell's Lookout (worth the 15 minute hike up!).

This activity was well worth the $35 paid.
It was unlike anything I have ever seen, my favourite part not being the geyser show but rather walking around the paths of the park and its very instructive boards. Very recommendable!

We hiked from the Tapotupotu DOC campsite to Cape Reinga in two hours admiring breathtaking views of the coast.
The track is well indicated and comfortable. It is exciting when you first catch a glimpse of Cape Reinga's lighthouse!

The hike up to the hut is rather covered and consists of a lot of stairs.
I definitely recommend staying at the hut as the true treasure of this hike is 45 minutes higher at the top of the Peninsula where we were lucky to enjoy the sunset and sunrise, both spectacular with 360 degree views.

A short walk takes you to the biggest Kauri tree in New Zealand which is very impressive, unlike anything I have ever seen.
