This park gets a top score because the owner gave us a beer on arrival and he was a genuinely nice bloke.
The park was clean, toilets aged but very clean, great BBQ area and kitchen with tv. Nice and quiet setback off the Main Street but within walking distance.

Great place to stay, clean and tidy.
$52 a night for powered site but that's what you pay for Queenstown.
Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased that you thought our park was clean and tidy.

This has been my best place to stay in NZ.
$13 a head is nothing compared to the experience I've had here. The amazing walk around the forest will blow your mind and the facilities are excellent with plenty of toilets and water. Lots of people here but to share the experience although no one got in anybody's way. Only disappointment was it was raining so couldn't enjoy a fire.

I've recently returned from a 3 weeks Motorhome trip around the beautiful north and south islands in a kiwi camper ford transit van camper...it was a heap of shit!
I probably shouldn't say that because it did have a couple of positives so I'll list them first
1. It didn't break down
2. It had a great hot shower if you drove all day.
On the other hand the negatives were
1. Had to buy oil because it virtually had none in it..what was in it was as black as the ace of spades.
2. We were flat out getting 90km/hr out of it...maybe on a down hill run, as for trying to drive out and around those beautiful gorges...most times we were in 1st or 2nd gear because the engine had no guts.
3. We just about couldn't see out of the back window due to the oil that was getting blown out of the exhaust.
4. The laminate on the cupboards was lifting so bad that every time we went to open them they would peel off in our hands.
5. We had a bald front tyre.
6. The second last day of the holiday I noticed a crack in the windscreen starting from the bottom of the screen..no stone chip to be seen...it extended to about 15cm long and the day we returned it the company tried to sting us $500 for the windscreen. Of course my hubby had words with them and they said they would get a windscreen mob to do a report to see if it was our fault. Lucky for us the windscreen hadn't been properly installed in the first place so we weren't charged.
