Really helpful and funny staff with great tips.
Perfect location for all sort of tours in the Waitomo Caves. Kitchen really clean with everything you need. Bathrooms and showers are also clean with free hot water. We were the only campervan there so it was nice but there is not too much space and seems more made for hostel guests.

Campsite with what looks like many permanent residents.
All male. The bathrooms and showers are very clean (especially the women's one as there were no women in the campsite). Kitchen equipped but not many stoves were working and over all not too cosy.

Campsite rather close to the city and next to the lake.
Friendly staff with some discounts for some attractions.
Three really nice natural hot pools. Facilities are clean however the hot water in the showers is not really hot.

Nice location close to ski and hiking area.
Nice staff with hike maps and recommendations. Nice kitchen with lots of room but still need your own stuff. Clean facilities. Many families staying there.

Nice camp ground at walking distance to the city centre.
Nice and clean facilities (with free hot water) but not too well heated in winter. A little pricey compared to other campgrounds in NZ but still a good option (free 500MB of wifi).

Friendly staff.
They let us choose our own spot. Spots have hedges but close to the road. You have a 50% discount on the spa which is great. Wifi is free but extremely slow. Kitchen and bathrooms are clean.

Could be a stunning spot but as we went there on a rainy winter day we didn't see much of it.
Next to a river (which apparently does NOT flood the campsite even if it rains heavily all night). Basic dump toilets.

Spots with really nice view on the lake.
Next to the Tekapo Spa. No free hot water (but if you go to the spa in the evening you can shower there). Kitchen not so cozy but clean. Bathrooms are clean as well.

Great, clean campsite with free wifi and two hot pools and sauna that you can use for free as well.
Very nice staff with good tips for hikes around the area. A little far from the town centre but they have a shuttle going there every hour until 8pm. You need to arrange your way back. We stayed there two nights and loved it.
