A perfect day!
We started early in the morning, had our first scuba diving experience which was great, and later on had time to explore the sea life by kayaking and snorkelling. We were able to swim with a seal!

We got up at 4:30am to watch the sunrise over the sea.
After an impressive golden sunrise it started to rain a little bit so we had an amazing rainbow!

Beautiful lakes.
Climbing up Mt Doom was really worth the effort, we had a stunning view up there and the various landscapes are amazing.

For $4 per person, we had a really nice evening in the hot pools with different temperatures from cold to extremely hot.
Furthermore the mud was good for your skin and it was nice to talk with the locals.

To watch the beautiful sunset that evening, we drove the highway next to the coast to Whangarei Heads/Urquharts Bay.
We could camp there and the next day made a nice walking track to several bays.
