The turn off the main road through a gate is a little hard to find but there is a small sign giving info on the campground.

This was the first campsite we stayed at after arriving into Christchurch and we had a wonderful night, we could hardly believe it was free!!

Great place to stay with a lot of local kayakers.
It is a large parking lot with a bathroom. There were great walking trails from the lot.
