My highlight of New Zealand.
We did it in winter, so half of the track was snarly, it felt like climbing a mountain. The view on the top is unbelievable! I will never forget it.

The area is beautiful but the coastal walk is the best part. The DOC campsite is absolutely lovely.

I learned a lot of things about this country and the culture, especially because it was my first week in New Zealand. Impossible to get bored there!

All the campsites are good and the track is very well maintained: good job from DOC. The beaches are wonderful.
