We only stopped one night in our hired campervan but found this to be a lovely secluded and wooded site in a small river valley.
Carol at reception was very welcoming and informative. Showers and toilets were clean and effective. Good value.

Extremely knowledgeable and entertaining coach driver. The cruise itself was fantastic. 3 dolphins provided some early excitement as they were playing at the marina entrance. We experienced some spectacular scenery as the waterfalls were cascading down the rock faces in full flow due to some previous rainfall which petered out as the cruise went on. On the return coach journey a pair of kea were posing for photographs as the traffic queued for the traffic lights to change at the road tunnel entrance. This is a must-do excursion for anyone visiting the locality and value for money.

A really excellent experience for adventurous minded people who enjoy moderate exercise and wildlife.
Our guide Ruby could not have been better. We had a clear briefing before setting out on our kayaking around the fur seal colony. Plenty of good sightings of the seals. Great value for money. So good I bought the t-shirt !

Located within easy reach of Franz Josef amenities and attractions although mature flora around the site creates a secluded environment.
Campervan pitches were gravelled and well spaced out with some tables and chairs available for guests use. Clean and effective toilets and showers. Monsoon bar and restaurant offer good range of wines and beers plus excellent food at affordable prices for all. An excellent site although reception staff could have been more welcoming.
