Stunning view, it is incredible!
You cannot miss it. If I have to do this again, I would not book a shuttle for the return. I would just go to the start point and then come back by the same entrance. You will save $30 per person, the view at the end of the walk is nice.

This is a good campervan, perfect for backpackers.
There is much space for two people, the big bed is very, very comfortable and there is much storage, so this is a good point. The kitchen area is small but well organised, they provide all what you need for a good travel! And I forget, the design is very cool! The only one disadvantage is this price, a little bit higher but this is a good quality/price.

You really must do this hike before you leave Tongariro!
Landscapes are amazing and stunning, there is not too many people compared to Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the views are completely different so I recommend to do both of them. The lake is really blue, wonderful! Nice views of mountains. Do it only with good weather.
