Lovely spot to base yourself at Franz Josef for a few days.
Each spot was nestled in the rainforest so felt quite private. Only thing that could make this a 10 would be more shower facilities.

Great views of the lake and the snowy mountains.
Flushing toilets were a plus. Bit cold in winter but the frost was beautiful in the morning.

Nice and peaceful campsite.
Pretty decent facilities with plenty of showers and hot water. Had the best value internet we've experienced in NZ, $5 for 10GB!

Really nice DOC campsite, plenty of spots and right on the beach.
Visited at the end of June and basically had the place to ourselves. Long gravel road to get to the site but well worth it!
