We enjoyed the performance of Maori song and dance and appreciated being taught the Poi dance, but overall we felt like a herd of cattle being pushed through the evening.
Food was okay. Did not get to see the geyser go off but preferred not seeing it as opposed to it being forced to erupt by pouring soap in to it.

The beautiful panoramic of the lake made the gruelling climb worth it!
The basic lodges gave the experience a rustic feel (which was exactly what we wanted!). Well signed, a great tramp.

Yes, this was by far the most touristy attraction we have done, but I have been a fan of the Lord of the Rings since my Dad read the books to me as a child.
The masses of people could not dampen my joy. A must see for all Tolkein fans.

Easy to find, on time, friendly staff members.
Made our day trip to Tongariro much easier and shorter. Highly recommend the track - very crowded but beautiful views of the area and Emerald Lakes.

Absolutely loved it!
Amazing experience to float silently through a tunnel of glowworms. Jumping off waterfalls and feeling our way through cave corridors was something I will never forget. Our guides were great, too.
