A cruise on Milford Sound takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
It costs up to $79 per person - if you hire a Jucy or Lucky vehicle then it is only half price. We were really lucky with the weather, saw many waterfalls, the high mountains straight up and fur seals. Highlight was the cruise through one waterfall and the dolphins around the boat.

It has got exhibitions and information on many different subjects, like the flora and fauna of NZ, Maori Culture and history.
The Antarctic expeditions and even an Egyptian mummy. Recommendable, but not 'the must see'. If you have got free time to fill, it is a good option.

A sometimes steep track to a beach, the end goes through a small tunnel.
Stunning views over a spectacular, rocky coastline. The walk takes one hour return. Not many people and it is a free attraction you must visit! One of the absolute highlights!

Paid $76 per day for a Lucky Rookie.
Booking and pickup was easy and the personnel really nice, The insurance costs extra. The vehicles are old white painted vehicles. Not the newest vehicles but we are happy with it. Only on rainy days a bit small and self-contained.

A three hour track, easy to walk.
The track starts at the Hooker Valley Campsite, half an hour walk away from the Mt Cook Village. This beautiful track offers stunning views of Mt Cook and the mountains around the Muellers Lake and the glacier lake and the beautiful white Hooker Glacier. Really easy walk with great photo opportunities.

An 11km long track to the top of Mount Roy.
Really steep and exhausting but totally worth it. It is a great view over Lake Wanaka and the mountains around. The Summit is 1578m high, the walk (return) will take about 5 to 6 hours, but the stunning view compensates every step!
