We arrived in the dark but good site, beautiful views.
No facilities but fine for self contained vehicles and cheap for a family ($20). Only 10km outside of Queenstown

Arrived in the dark in winter but managed to find our way around the site.
Lovely views in the morning. No facilities but ok for self contained camper vans and a cheap ($20 for family) alternative to the expensive Queenstown sites. Only 10 km out of town.

Ideally situated holiday park walking distance from city centre.
Saves the hassle of trying to find a park in town. Amazing bathrooms and toilet facilities. A fairly cramped site but understandable due to its location. The most expensive park we stayed at in Queenstown but given its situation this is reasonable. Allow most dogs so a real bonus. Would stay there again

Fantastic holiday park in Franz Josef.
Huge range of accommodation and lots of lovely sites. Great pub/restaurant on site and also free use of spa while staying there. Dog friendly which was great for us. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 berth de luxe campervan with Discover NZ , hired from Nelson.
Was worried that we wouldn't be warm enough, but the gas/electric heater was really efficient and kept us toasty even when night temperatures plummeted outdoors. Perfect family camper, plenty of room and choice of beds.. Also really good for people who get travelsick as the layout and visibility of road from all seats is brilliant. Would definitely recommend and hire again - the Nelson branch of Discover NZ are very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Well run holiday park.
Arrived in the evening but the owner was friendly and helpful in offering some food to buy! Quite an exposed site in the winter, can imagine it gets windy. Great facilities though and showers/toilets are very nice. We went to Haast beach after leaving and saw dolphins play in the waves - magical!
