We arrived at this site late at night and struggled to find the camp area as there wasn't any signage.
Follow the road passed the facilities and to the left past the 'no fire' sign to find the large camp zone. Very scenic spot with some of the nicest facilities we have found in NZ.

Highly rate this spot.
It is incredibly scenic and easy to access just off the main road. Get here for sunset to catch a great view over the lake. Average facilities and no bins for rubbish though.

An interesting camping spot in sleepy Apiti.
The spacious site was filled with sheep so I wouldn't recommend camping here unless your staying in a vehicle. Some of the nicest toilets we've seen, however the water supply was a bit patchy and the taps didn't run. Refreshing spot though with a field of friendly cows next door. No sign of a designated camp fire spot and picnic bench was broken but would recommend if your looking for somewhere quiet.
