We missed the turn off to our campsite and turned to a lighthouse driveway.
At the far end, a beautiful free and wild reserve where you can walk to seals and penguins 'home'. Magic!!

Often skipped because it is far away but do not miss one night in the domain campground.
$9 per person, showers, power, kitchen, laundry, BBQ, nice caretaker! Walks in to the valley, huge arches, caves and wildlife (weka, kaka).

Did all the track in three days with a tent.
What a challenge but worth it so much! Freedom all around you and panoramic views all along the track! Great wildlife also! Blue Ducks and Kea. Stunning!

Paid for the combo of 3 hours kayak, 2 hour cruise.
Early morning, quiet, peaceful for kayak, paddling with seals and nice guide (interesting stories). Next time will take a longer kayak trip to go further.
