One of the most beautiful walkways we have done in the North Island.
Really worthy. And if you climb Mt Doom (Mt Ngauruhoe) you can see Lake Taupo and if the weather really clear, cost to coast.

Two hour cruise, with a pizza and beer offered.
Quiet, beautiful, you also see the Maori Carvings that you can only reach by boat. The Skipper was really nice and funny. A good memory.

Beautiful landscapes, toilets, showers.
DOC campsite, so not expensive. We have seen here dolphins and killer whales, found some giant shells. As it is Maori land, we have met young Maori boys who let us try to ride their horses on the beach.

One of the most surprising landscapes you can find in New Zealand.
You can walk for hours in the middle of this desert landscape, until you reach a beautiful beach. You can also rent a board and sledge on the dunes.

1/2 hour initiation in the morning.
1 and a 1/2 hour dive in the afternoon. Nice staff, funny, patient. Amazing experience. And we have seen dolphins!

On our way to see the seal colony in Cape Palliser, we found a beautiful free campsite at Ngawi, just in front of the sea.
Quiet, with toilets. No water, but you can enjoy the view after a long day watching the seals.
