Awesome ride on the Buller River.
We had a marvellous time on the boat which is not all about speed, spins and shearing next to the rocks. Mack also explained about what effect the earthquakes have had on the river.

A short walk to a beautiful gorge!
The gorge and the water is just stunning. Lake Kaniwere is nice to visit afterwards and have lunch on the side of the lake.

A nice train ride into the gorge, with lots of photo opportunities.
The trains are the old 'Mitsus', since new ones do not fit through the tunnels. Lots of side information while you just 'sit' and enjoy the ride.

Although included in our jetboat trip, $10 is overpriced for a small walk on the island even though you are crossing the largest swingbridge in New Zealand.

Illusion rooms are great fun (if not too crowded). Take your time and try to get some nice pictures.

It is beautiful and sad at the same time!
Beautiful to see the glacier and his/her surroundings. Sad to see him go. Nice walk with lots of photo opportunities! Would be nice if you could get closer, but apparently it is too dangerous.
