We've lived and travelled the South Island for the past 2 years and this is by far the best camp site we've stayed in.
No competition. You should stay here. Friendly peeps, clean and highly functional services, a surrounding to die for. I know that it may be slightly more than most places you pitch at, but treat yourself. It's worth it

We stayed here a few weeks back and had a great time.
On arrival, the new managers provided us with a shower token each and a very secluded pitch for our tent. Was nice that they identified that a young (ish) couple would prefer a little privacy away from the family vibe in the main site. All facilities were clean and well equipped. Get some sandfly stuff before you go though because it's a popular area for them. The area is beautiful and the hosts were most accommodating. We will be back again for sure. On a side note, we used this as a base to walk cave stream. Don't leave Canterbury until you've done it!
