Nice little park in a great location, within 5 minutes walk to the gloworm caves and the river walks we found the park clean and well cared for, the amenities were modern and clean, there is a lovely pool
area which looks ideal for kids,
it was one of the nicer parks we stayed on whilst on our travels.
Thanks, Geoffrey, for taking the time to write a review. We really appreciate it and we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay!
Hope you had a great trip, and we'd love to see you back another time.
Kind regards,
Jenn

An expensive way to travel around New Zealand, we wanted a 4 berth with a bed over cab, but there were none available 9 months prior travel when we booked, so the 2 of us settled for a 6 berth.
Likes,
Six berth motorhome which was spacious for 2 persons, its convenient to travel with your home, you have the option to cook yourselves, which we didn't do a lot of, we didn't use the van shower but the loo was handy for night time,we had prebooked our park stops prior departure and the facilities were generally very good, the showers were free (apart from one park), the satnav tablet provided is a godsend, there are plenty of towels, sheets duvets for everyone, think they should give more detail of what's in the bedding pack.they provide everything from tea towel to matches we found the parks supplied washing up liquid along with full kitchen facilities, we found 6 chairs and a table stowed in the back locker which are charged as extras
Dislikes,
it seemed a lot of other couples had done this as well judging by the number of couples in large vans.the extra cost for us was $1000 for the three weeks
the vans are on the basic side designed for ease of cleaning, so few luxuries after the comfort of a nice hotel. they only two blue toilet capsules( they recommend emptying everyday so thats two days toilet then) we had to buy a lot more !
Britz took the insurance cover off the credit card and held until we returned the vehicle, then returned it, so that's $7500 or £4418 GBP (JAN 2017) taken off the card for 3 weeks we rented the van,so make sure you have plenty of credit remaining on your card
TOP TIP,
WE PHOTOGRAPHED THE VAN prior to rolling out of the depot at Christchurch because it had numerous dents dings and tape covering the war wounds, when we arrived at Auckland they questioned whether we had dented a wing because the paperwork didn't show it, we showed them the photos and sorted it out straight away otherwise we may have lost some of our insurance
