Kayaking is much fun and can be a nice sport.
You have to be a bit lucky with the weather, but it can also be funny with some wind. We had some bad luck, because we have had a whole in our kayak, so we had to stop some hours earlier, but still good equipment.

There is a small parking site at the highway north of Kaikoura, very nice spot to watch the seals playing and relaxing!
I like it alot! Only bad point is that there are no signs on the highway and if you don't know where to find it, you will not find it.

We were climbing Mt Eden in early October, it was bad weather and a long, hard way, the walkways were in bad condition, but in the end it was worth it.
Great view over the whole city!
