Excellent value for money.
I paid $10 for a tent site. Kitchen with some dishes, hot shower, and even WiFi if you ask are included for that price. Lovely grass field. Flat. Quiet. Far enough from town that it isn't noisy but close enough to be convenient.

Small camping area.
Wouldn't fit more than half a dozen camper vans. Long drop toilet. No rubbish bin. Tap water tastes like mold. Great location off the beaten path. Stay there but bring extra water from elsewhere.

Amazing views.
Long drops clean and smell good. Water tastes great. Staff super friendly and helpful. Woman gave me homegrown peaches. Definitely worth the drive.

This isn't really a tourist campground.
It's full of long term tenants working and commuting to Christchurch. There are no designated tent spots. Just pick where ever amongst the cabins and motorhomes. Facilities are extremely old. I think they must have been built by the first settlers and haven't been updated since. Facilities don't appear to be regularly cleaned either. $18 + paid internet seemed steep for such a mediocre campground. I wouldn't bother calling here unless you're desperate. No dishes in kitchen. Just lots of nasty notes from staff.

Don't waste your time here.
It's a tiny cramped trailer park on the edge of the town park. Not worth $20 per person, non electric. Maybe 12 sites total. Feels like a trailer park in Ghettosville USA. Worst $20 campground of the whole trip. Total rip off. Would not stay again. Kitchen and toilets are okay.

Whoa!
Surprised by all the negative reviews. After 2 months in the South Island this remains the best campground I stayed in and I camped every single night. Huge kitchens stocked with every dish you could ever need. Yes, I said kitchens, there are two of them so it doesn't get overcrowded at peak times. Large tenting area. While I was there there were probably 10-15 other tents and it didn't feel cramped at all. Large toilet/shower block and again there are two of them so you never have to wait. Absolute best part is FREE UNLIMITED WIFI. Fast fast fast. In the 3 nights I stayed I used about 2.5gb uploading home videos. Great connection, always fast. Wish I could have stayed here longer.
Thank you for taking the time to review our holiday park!
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and would love to welcome you again in the future. Safe travels!

Reasonable price.
Quiet. Not on the tourist trail. Mostly Kiwi weekend warriors. Friendly staff. Clean kitchen. Some dishes provided. Bathroom and showers clean and good. Would recommend. Paid internet.

Modern facilities.
Flush toilets, LED solar lights in loo and shelter. Large shelter has 4 picnic tables as well as multiple sinks and counter tops for food prep. Bring your own cooker. Paid showers available in village. Amazing location. Many hiking trails. $10 per person is a steal. In my country (Canada) you would pay at least $25 for similar.
