A nice spot on a decent budget.
The host are extremely nice and even gave us some of their homegrown tomatoes. A good place to stay before heading to The Catlins Coast. The facilities were clean and worked well, would definitely stay here again.
Thanks its nice to know people enjoyed there stay its been a lot of hard work and a lot of people do expect a lot for there $10 but we do try,
many thanks

Pretty average freedom camping spot.
A big grassy area with old restrooms and iffy drinking water. But can't complain too much because it's free. Stayed here a few nights and had no worries except a few noisy neighbors. About a 15 minute drive out of Dunedin. Would stay here again!

Free showers and free laundry make this stay worth it.
Tom the host runs the campground out of his motor home and is very easy to deal with. The area is right next to a big grass park and about a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. $30 for two is a bit pricey for the space but the amenities make it worth it. Ya Tom!

A nice spot right next to really fun waves and beautiful mountains.
The scenery is lovely in Kaikoura and this camping spot does it justice. Pretty basic camping spot with only one toilet. A few odd characters in the car park. But find a spot to yourselves you won't regret it.

Was basically a small town gathering of unruly people with nothing better to do than make loud disrespectful noises late into the night.
The lot was a nice big grassy area next to the creek and the restrooms were nice.

The funniest spot the two of us have stayed at!!
Make sure not to pass this spot without checking it out. The farm is very nice and relaxing with plenty to do. Got to play with sheep/goat/bunnies/chickens/one big pig and saw glow worms on the night hike. Along with the good facilities the $18 per person at a powered site was well worth the money.
Oh dear...I almost feel compelled to rush out and buy a clown suit to live up to this review!! Thank you for your very kind words and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with our animals (and us)! Safe travels and Kind Regards, Barbara and Chris

Really nice spot along the coast, it can get really windy but you wake up to a beautiful view.
It's about a 10 minute drive from the city but it can feel like a different place out at Owhiro Bay. Seems like a popular place during the day so it can get a bit noisy. The lot is patrolled by security for self-contained vehicles too.

Three sites allowed at this spot so it is a small public parking lot.
Very nice place to stay being 10 metres from the beach.
