Fantastic scenery, no clouds over the glacier.
Nice walk. Come early to avoid the helicopters/tourists flood. It is a little bit of a pity that you cannot get too close.

We had the luck of sunny weather and not a single cloud. The Underwater Observatory is just nice, not necessary to see.

Interesting historical information about the Chinese miners and how the kiwis behaved towards the Chinese.
The old houses are impressive. Cannot imagine to live like that!
