As the other reviews said, is on Pawsons Rd and not signposted but as soon as you turn in you see a tiny blue sign of campervan and toilets.
Flat gravel area next to maintenance site. Perfect for a free night's stay. Toilets nearby but didn't venture as raining the whole time we were here! Only a few sandflies which was a nice break.

Nice, small but sheltered spot on edge of a lake.
Toilets maintained ok and running water. Was very windy but bushes provide enough cover. Good spot.

Of course very conveniently located for your glacier stuff.
Tiny spaces though, with everyone on top of each other which we didn't like. Power was nice though, as were the hot showers and kitchen utensils. Have to be out by 10-11am. Good for one or two nights in a camper.
Our sites do vary in size, some are closer than others , all have power boxes so cannot be too far apart. 10 am is standard in NZ but we are flexible

Very friendly helpful staff, enough room for everyone to have space, showers great and hot and spacious, kitchen facilities good although a couple of broken hobs.
Laundry great, usual $2-4 with coins. Stayed 2 nights, would stay again as a treat as $19 per person was a bit steep for us (but well worth it!).

4km of windy gravel but totally fine road is worth it to get to this gorgeous site in the basin next to the lake.
Very friendly wardens on arrival. 10 dollars is a fine price. Horses right there with you which is lovely and great signpostes walks round the lake start there. Toilets long drops but clean and sinks with water that we drank from. Kitchen facilities of a shelter with lots of room and some sinks to wash up your stuff. Lots of room in and out of the bush. No flies.
Beautiful sunset and sunrise! Would recommend/return.

Great location just over the hill from Albert Town so very quiet.
Right on the river banks so beautiful to sit with your feet in the cold water. Lovely walks straight from the campsite. Tons of rooms and trees if you want shade. 3 flushing toilets and sinks and taps for washing and drinking water. A couple of long drop loos too. Big skip for rubbish even though it says carry on carry off. Planned to stay one night and stayed two. Honesty box $7per person per night with great system to have your car rego etc and info.
Facilities are great and clean!

Simon Simon Simon!
Our bus driver/guide was the best part of this trip - he had so much info to give about conservation, animals, flora, geology and more. We were stuck between fallen trees and rocks for nearly 2 hours and he kept us all entertained with his stories. We got there and had to wait for the next boat an hour later but then with no problems we were off and away. The actual ride round Milford Sounds was nice - plenty of info from the captain, the free pitta lunch wrap was huge and tasty, free tea and loos on board (have to pay for coffee but fine by me coz I don't drink it anyway) and the boat huge and clean. Fun when the captain puts you right in the spray of one huge waterfall. Seeing young fur seals was nice - all in all a good ride but it's a shame you don't go out to see the sea - they stop just short of that but I guess it all depends on the weather. Back on the bus with Simon we had more stops at very pretty places and lots of laughs on the way back. Whole trip for 90 dollars was great value we thought inc transport and lunch, but really...
Thank you Simon for making our day!
