It is for free and that is very nice as it is not a normal museum.
It was a really nice day.

I really recommend to do this walk if you want to see kiwi birds but cannot afford a guided tour (the local guided tours will bring you to this same place anyway).
Try to avoid big groups or you won't see any. We were lucky to see one kiwi bird (we heard many others) but loud people were also around so we had to be patient.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing was a great experience!
I definitely recommend it no matter how long you are in New Zealand for. Most buses drop you off at Mangateppo Road but if you can, start it from the other end (Lake Rotorua Road), it will be way less busy.

We booked a car to drive to Piha.
It was not too expensive and we can bring the car back when we want. And the service was very good.

You can chose to either drive or walk to the top, but either way you will for sure enjoy the views!
A must do if you are around.

Incredibly beautiful, but be prepared as it is not an easy walk especially in hot weather.
Fletcher Bay DOC campsite provided us with a map and lots of information about the walk (track options, time etc).

Waitomo Caves was a nice experience, but the 45 minute tour seems short and the information provided could be more interesting.
It was however a good family tour!
