Stayed here for 2 nights with our kids and they loved the place.
We did the Glacier trail on one morning the other morning we went to another trail close by. Only few cars on the parking. Unfortunately lots of sandflies so after 5-6 in the campervan.

We arrived in the afternoon and went afterwards to the Penguin Place which is very close. Showers and facilities clean.

We have not been camping here but the place was great.
Stopped for a coffee and hot chocolate and best cookies from NZ. If you are lucky to see a mobile coffee car, stop and enjoy short walk on the bridge.

You can camp on this side of the lake anywhere you want.
Loved the place. Magnificent view on the mountains. We bought some fresh salmon in the shop at the lake. Be prepared its getting chilly in dec. Salmon farm has moved from end of this road to visitor centre at the lake.

Stayed here for 3 nights.
Facilities were great, clean. Kids enjoyed playground. Looks new. Places are nice, some have wooden chairs or picnic table. Highly recommended. After days of freecamp these showers were 10++
