Gravel parking area right on the nice driftwood beach, lots of space for self-contained vans.
Unfortunately no facilities but pretty spot for a night.

Lovely spot right on the beautiful beach, nice having nearby toilets open all night.
Only one other van there (non self-contained who was fined in the early morning).

The only benefits of this site are the price and its proximity to Wellington!
Very busy and noisy spot with OK views of the harbour and grubby toilets (only one was open the night we were there).

Amazing place to stay on the lakeside with views of the geothermal area.
Friendly owners who allow free use of WiFi. Lots of space and toilets open 8 - 5:30.
