When paying $24 for a campsite I expect more than a rusty, unsafe BBQ and a cold water only sink with tap and no drainage except into the ground where you are standing, outside, under a small corrugated
iron cover. That said, the site itself was nice, very private and surrounded by ferns. Toilets all separate with showers but no heating or extraction fans meaning they are always damp and cold.

Difficult to access due to size (steep ramp to flat areas, no marked bays so people don't think before parking!) cheap and right on the edge of Queen Charlotte Sound.

Great little spot just off the main highway down a slightly narrow dirt road.
Not necessarily well sign posted. If you don't look out you might miss it as there isn't really a car park. The road is just slightly wider allowing parking along the sides. Cute little waterfall down a pretty well maintained track. You can bring your lunch and sit at the picnic table at the end of the trail.
