Based on the excellent reviews here at rankers we decided to hire our campervan for our 5 weeks NZ trip at Campa South Rentals.

And we were not disappointed! Already the communication during the inquiry process was friendly with detailed information.

Arrived in Auckland we picked up the campervan at their agent Kurt. The pick up was in Waiuku, southerly from Auckland. But this wasn't really a problem, since Kurt met us at the train station in Papakura. Kurt is from Switzerland originally. Therefore we could do all the paperwork and explanations concerning the campervan in German, which, for sure, made it for us much more comfortable. During our trip we just ones had a small software issue with the turbo charger. We called Graham and he promptly arranged an appointment at the next Toyota service station for us. After 1 1/2 hours we could pick up the campervan at the service station and the problem was solved for the rest of our trip.

While we parked our campervan in Wellington, we got a scratch on the left side. This was caused by the campervan next to us respectively the wind blew their door against our campervan. We informed Susan and Graham and exchanged all necessary data with the two ladies from the other campervan. At this point it was already sure that the insurance from the two ladies will pay for the damage. Nevertheless, after returning our campervan in Christchurch, we had to do some paperwok for the insurance. But with the support of Susan and Graham it wasn't a big issue.

Altogether we really enjoyed our NZ trip not least because we had a reliable and well equipped campervan. We definitely can recommend Campa South Rentals to everyone who looks for an individual and friendly support apart from the big rental car companies!
