All through West Coast bush - lovely! Long gravel road to drive but in a good condition. Informative displays and flush toilets at the carpark.

Easy three day track, beaches (freezing!), bush, lots of very funny bird song, muddy in some places, but not an issue if only three days on the track.

When done as a loop it is an easy half day walk.
Through an almost magic Nikau forest all along the river, then uphill over the range, down to Punakaiki River. Back to Pororari carpark along the road.
