Location so convenient and good facilities.
Kitchen and laundry good. Clothes lines very handy. Could do with a few more toilets and showers when full but not a problem when we were there. Trees shed seeds everywhere. Took ages to get them all out of van.

Was strange to be camping in a carpark in the middle of the town centre.
But loads of people there, mainly younger people. Restaurant and takeaways very close and convenient. 2 toilets open 24 hours. Tap in middle of pavement where people were washing up and cleaning teeth. OK for a single night. Had to move on early on Monday morning 8am to avoid parking charges.

Worth travelling out of Picton for.
Loads of kiwis with their boats. Good facilities. BBQ, laundry, washing lines, kitchen, showers and hairdryer. And at $35, good value compared to some.

Beautiful location directly overlooking the beach.
Self contained only but public toilets in carpark. They close in the evening but were open at 5.30am. Some noise until 10pm from restaurant and lots of weekend activity at boat launch in carpark. Woke up to find a woman's triathlon getting underway. But it all just kept us entertained as it was never intrusive.

Good value at $6 each.
Didn't use cold showers. Remember to get token from info point. Flush toilets a plus. Big group of kids partying well past 11pm curfew but warden suggested we move in anticipation of trouble and we slept without a problem. Sandflies a pain. They attack you all the time including the toilet so spray essential. Couldn't face a 2nd night of them so moved on.

Facilities a little tired but adequate.
Friendly owner. Parked on the green in clear view of wifi antenna and had excellent reception. Nice walk along the sea front.

Excellent for shops and nearby laundrette but just a small yard.
Luckily we were the only ones there. Single shower and separate toilet. Could have been a problem if busy. We needed electrics and shower after a day cycling otherwise we would have parked on derby field for free.

Handy spot for starting the Hauraki Trail the next day.
Toilets very clean and close by. Little noise from adjacent road. Just need to be away by 9 am.

Best showers yet.
Lovely big cubicle/changing area/sink with socket for hair drier. Site quiet as few guests. Can imagine can be very busy and noisy when full. Good kitchen and BBQ.

Excellent location for Tongariro National Park.
Kitchens are huge and lots of sinks and hot plates, even toasters. Occasionally hot water seems to run out as very busy here. BBQ's both very clean. Showers not metered and a free hairdryer in the ladies. Laundry reasonable and $4 for dryer seemed expensive but it lasts for a full hour so got everything dry. But lots of trees to string up a line if you have time. Finally try to get in the wifi area. Not all sites get reception which means you have to stay in the busy kitchen area to use it. But reasonable speeds and its free.

Doesn't feel like you are in town.
Lots of 'travellers' around with their amazing caravans. Parked near toilets at the entrance but near the dog training centre so alot of barking until they had all gone. Also loads of dog walkers in the park. Otherwise a nice quiet spot.

Great location on the lakeshore.
Sites well packed in on top of each other. Kitchen facilities just not sufficient for the number of guests. One cooker, one BBQ and 2 sinks.
