I have just completed my 4th trip with Alpine Recreation and would highly recommend them if you have an alpine venture in mind.
They have a huge amount of experience in the NZ mountains with their guides operating to the highest standards. The guides are also really fun to hang out with. All of my trips have been life highlights. New Zealand's alps are jaw droppingly stunning and you won't be disappointed. If the weather doesn't co-operate with your trip plans, they are able to offer alternate experiences.

I had been booked on a guided climbing trip with another company which was cancelled at short notice due to their guide being injured.
Within 24 hours, Anne (manager) and Ewan (guide) had put together an alternate trip for myself and one other client. This was at the height of the busy climbing season and I am hugely appreciative of Anne's efforts to assist with getting us to Tekapo at very short notice. She even offered to help organise accommodation, which was a challenging prospect. Both Anne and Ewan were well tuned in to my requests for the trip, and came up with a perfect itinerary (which was not one of their regular features). Ewan is a competent guide who ensured safety was paramount and altered our plan to suit my needs. The trip was fantastic... I wouldn't have changed anything except made it longer if the weather had obliged. The scenery of course was spectacular and well worth the slog.
