Not easy to access but a spot with a fantastic view.
$6 per person is good value for the Fjordlands and the great mountain panorama view.

Great place to stay just next to the beach.
Two toilets close by. Short walk to Monkey Island. We would come again.

Good to stay for one or two nights.
Next to the river, lots of space and just $7 per person.

We did a water taxi trip from Kaiteriteri for a two hour walk.
That was really great. Explanations on the boat are fine, so you get used to some great spots on the beachside.

Expensive and quite noisy.
But it is just five minutes from the waterfront and the Te Papa. Paid $50 for two all in.

It was very interesting for us to get to know the history of the Maori and the way New Zealand developed into the country it is now.
Especially the exhibition about WW1 was impressive.

If you want to know all the details about the kiwifruit you are absolutely right on this spot.
Even $20 is quite worth it for travelling through the plants, it is worth it to go there. The shop is quite nice!

Very poor.
The lady at the office is so unfriendly. We never had that before. At the end of our stay she wanted us to pay for a seven month old baby. That was when we left that camping ground.
Hi Stephan. I am a very friendly person but when I am trying to get all the cleaning done and someone has not vacated their unit by 11.00 and don't seem to be in any hurry (check out is 10.00) and then I find that they have a young child that they omitted to tell us when they checked them in and were asked how many people there were, it challenges my smiling capabilities. By not telling us that you had a child when you checked in, makes it very difficult for us to be able to account for everyone that is staying with us in the case of an emergency, which is required by law.

One of the best things we did in New Zealand.
The railway is just amazing and it is very much fun to spend one hour there. At the top you have a little break and you can watch the great landscape of Coromandel.

Very friendly staff.
Great showers and not overcrowded. $15 per person, per night for a powered side was fine. We could highly recommend this place.

Our camper is a double-top and works really well.
The people in Auckland were very friendly and did give us a childseat for free.

What a great spot.
Next to the river, very clean and free Wifi, water and electricity to power up your phone or your computer. The host is so friendly and helpful. We would come again whenever possible. And the best at the end: it is for free! If we could give 11 points: this is the place were we would give them!

A good idea to go if you want to learn more about the volcanic history.
Great walks from one to two hours, a bus brings you back to the point you have started from.
