We arrived in Milford Sound the afternoon before in an apocaplyptic storm which resulted in the road being closed due to a rock slide, so we thought our chances of going out were minimal.
However, the next morning the storm had passed and although slightly blowy we were able to get out on the water. Roscos provided all the clothing/safety gear required and after kitting out and a safety brief we launched. The clouds parted and we were treated to the most glorious views all around the sound. the paddling was easy and nicely paced, so no need to worry if you're a novice. On the way in we were taken into a secluded grove which was a marvellous end to the trip. Our guide was attentive and very informative throughout. Highly recommended

Lovely campsite, with excellent facilities.
Can thoroughly recommend it, make sure you visit Authurs pass for some dramatic scenery. The walk to the waterfall & glow worms is a little bit more adventurous than they make out and can't say I'd want to do it in the dark. Lovely place though
Hello Bill, thank you for your review and we're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Shame that you didn't feel comfortable walking to the Glow Worms at night unfortunately you missed out on a Nature Wonder - yes it is adventurous but with common sense and a recky trip in day light hours the walk is both do able and rewarding. Thanks again and all the best for the rest of your NZ holiday.
