Beautiful setting in the forest.
Kitchen was small but clean and well stocked. Bathrooms toilet/shower combo, fine. The major drawback was how steeply slanted the parking spots were - making for an uncomfortable sleep. Took a surfing class in the morning from the school there, which was very fun!

Nice free spot along a quiet stretch of lake.
Unfortunately it got really crowded, and campers began to park all over the place and facilities were misused. Toilets were decent, and there was drinking water and an outdoor shower (cold, for after swimming).

Toilet was fine, setting nice. Close to Tongariro Crossing.

Great spot with large clean facilities, nice setting along the stream.
Free wifi and use of fishing gear, which was a nice way to start the day! Lovely owner.

Close to the city centre and has hot pool, but otherwise unremarkable.
Bathrooms and kitchen fine. Not as great value for money as our previous stay.
