NOT sign posted at road & difficult to find after dark.
As you travel to Tekapo, entry is the first & 2nd gravel roads on left after going over the Lake Pukaki spillway. It's a poorly graded drive so take it slow with larger campervans. Gets a 6 as it's free.

Suitable for camper vans.
Was very windy during our visit with some shelter provided by the trees. We understand that the water available is not drinkable.

We stayed overnight during a rainy period.
The ground drains well and seemed to reduce the sand flies a little. Also, there were no keas during the rain... the National Parks guy said that they avoid flying in the rain.
