The setting is stunning.
More on the expensive side $64/ for 3 adults on a powered site - but really worth it. The amenities were clean - no extra charge for the fabulous showers. Wifi was extra $6 for 10MB, not too sure about charges for laundry. Kitchen facilities were immaculate. The walks around are beautiful and they also have fresh bread for the morning upon request. A lovely place to unwind on your driving journey!

Great pit stop before Wanaka.
The setting for this holiday park is wonderful - more family oriented but suited to all holiday travellers. Make sure you arrive in the day so you can enjoy the water, walks and bike rides around the park. There are lots of other activities the park can organise for you. For $54 for 3 adults on a powered site (standards) - showers are free, but the laundry is extra. Amenities are simple, clean and comfortable. If you have a family I would highly recommend this place, especially in warmer months.
Thank you for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed our lovely park. We have a lot of families staying in the summer and after school goes back then mostly we have independent travelers. Have a great time travelling around New Zealand and thank you for staying at our "classic" lakefront Holiday park.

Not the most value for your money - 3 adults for $56 (which is reasonable) but have to pay for everything from showers to wifi and laundry.
Facilities are basic and unfortunately not the cleanest. Nice people that run the park but as far as value for money and comfort - I would move on.

Grumpy's is not the most scenic - with simple amenities, however the place was clean, quiet and very comfortable.
Grumpy himself is a great character and was very generous with his amenities - 3 adults for $46 (powered site) with free wifi, clean showers and laundry (which was (surprisingly hi tech)... Grumpy's was the best value we've seen so far in the South Island!
