We booked a cabin here for our first night, knowing it would be rough weather and intended to stay on an unpowered site for the remaining 2 nights of our holiday.
Unfortunately, the good (nice setting with green surrounds, not too manicured, unmetered good pressure hot showers and vege/herbs you can help yourself to) didn't make up for the location, which is on a main highway and train track. Nothing ruins a stay like no sleep! The park is also at that age where you're unsure if it's just old/tired or dirty but in this case it's a bit of both. If you're self contained, would be a lovely setting.

Perfect campground - plenty of space with nooks so you can claim your own wee patch, nice vibe, pet friendly, a wee river right there and swimming hole a few minutes walk away.
Hot shower (free, unmetered), plenty of toilets and a kitchen block with free BBQ's (no hot water), recycling and rubbish. Would be a hard job to beat it!

Friendly staff, well thought out and maintained facilities, pet friendly, close enough to Wanaka without being in town and easy access to the water from just about anywhere!
The most impressive thing about this campground is that every site is numbered, meaning you get your own designated space and privacy. Glenn was so incredibly patient, helping us to find just the right spot for our hammocks, even at the end of a scorching day when the office was teaming with people. We stayed in the middle of the high season and couldn't fault the place :)
