New Zealand needs more like these. Only free site I have given a 10. Has a dump station, fresh water, toilets and free HOT showers. Park your van in the parking lot by the nice little pond and save yourself some money.

Stayed here for 2 nights.
The kitchen was nice and spacious. Very disappointed that you had to pay .50 cents for a shower for hot water, however, I took 2 showers and both of them the water was just warm at best not hot. Has no wifi. They didn't have any items for sale at the office like many places do such as snacks or convenience type items. There is a store close by and the marina and restaurant are both in walking distance.

Almost didn't stay here because of some of the reviews but glad I did.
I found the gentleman that runs the place to be very friendly and helpful. It was packed but we stayed there the busiest week of the year. The showers have plenty of hot water and you don't have to pay anything extra for them. There is a store and cafe within walking distance. Our view was one of the best we had in the month staying in New Zealand. They don't have a dump station but there is a public one right down the road.

We stayed at many camps during the 35 days in New Zealand and this is only 1 of 2 paid sites I give a 10.
First off the ladies working at the office were the nicest and most helpful people we dealt with at any of the camps. Many camps you are treated like you are a bother. Not here, they took individual time with everyone even though it was a busy Christmas week the 3 nights we stayed there. The showers were great and didn't cost extra. The kitchen was huge. They had an Internet room if needed. I loved the fact they had a small store stocked with plenty of food. Also have a vender on site selling burgers and such. Hot Water Beach is within walking distance (go at night if you can you will love it better). Just can't say enough good things about this great site.
