Beautiful, but forgot to check the weather forecast.

One rain poncho was not enough for the 2 of us for the 3 day trip. Determined to do it again next week. Walking on the beach from the lakes was easy, track well marked and Maunganui Bluff impressive. But check the tides and the forecast and carry rain gear at all times.
