Great little backpacker hub, with a hot pool and a nicely equipped kitchen.
Trees make it feel more secluded than it actually is. 15 minute walk from the museum and downtown. Nice showers, and good discount rates if you book with the front desk for any of the local tourist activities.

Busy site with lots of long term renters, we paid $40 a night for four people for three days (powered site).
First night there, we lucked out and saw a pod of Orcas from the beach. Vineyard a short walk away (highly recommend) and a few other amenities mapped out. Lower score because the kitchen appliances, particularly the electric stoves, are barely working. Would stay again.

Great little place close to Auckland, and the cheapest in the area we could find ($15 each).
Toilets are pit toilets and there is drinking water available as well. Cute little farm to wander around, great place to take the kids. Also a nice walk behind the campsite. Self-contained free spots available in the front parking lot as well. Didn't use showers, not sure if it is fixed yet or not.

Nice campsite, with lots of spots near the beach front.
We stayed one night, toilets were clean and the ranger was very kind. It can get a little busy and overcrowded, but otherwise a good spot. $6 per person.

Awesome little campsite, with a beautiful view of the river.
Not many people here during our stay, and it was lovely. Nice bench to sit on and enjoy some wine just outside the camping area, as well as a nice light hike up the road. Would stay here again.
