We stayed one night on an unpowered site in January for $63 for 2 people.
Thats just not reasonable. Facilities are clean and the campground is close to the beach and Mt Maunganui but that's all. Timed showers. No room to eat your meals. Just a bench outside the kitchen. Nothing provided in the kitchen (like pans or dishwashing liquid). Road outside the campground which can be loud. All tents side by side (crowded). Not worth the money.

Awesome!
Great facilities, very friendly hosts, lots of animals you can feed and a walkway with glowworms.
Thanks Max! We hope that the rest of your South Island trip goes well and if you get the chance to come back to the Marlborough region you are very welcome to stay! Kind Regards and Happy Travels, Barbara and Chris

Cool.
Watch penguins from a distance. Come in the late afternoon to evening for most penguins.

Long track.
Plan with 5 hours return. Also after rained it was really muddy. We didn't see any seals. Even though the walk is cool don't do it because of seals. There are better spots.

Awesome view.
Beach in the front - glacier in the back. Also some walks start there. Toilets are basic and there is water. The space is a bit limited. We went there end of November and it was full.

There is a long gravel road to get there.
The place is quiet with basic toilets and water. Some walkways start there.

Nice location and shelter from the wind.
The facilities are not the best. Basic toilet, a one-man kitchen and 2 showers that cost extra without any comfort.

Awesome location at the lake.
Nice hosts and everything is clean. Showers are warm but a bit weak.
Thank you for your review. Being out of town and still on town supply our pressure is not great. We have a portacom which has gas hot showers and great pressure but is not open all the times but definitely during the cooler months. Have a great holiday in New Zealand and we hope to see you back another day.

Very good value for money.
Showers cost extra. You smell iron in the water but overall it is a nice place at the beach.

Really cosy hut with very good facilities and awesome host.
The space for cars is VERY limited. If you have a very big campervan go somewhere else.

A carpark with toilet.
What makes it really good is the awesome view, near walking tracks and it is free!

Nice walk to an awesome hole.
Take care: no safety barriers! 10 minutes before you reach the hole a sign says you can go to a viewpoint up the hill. TAKE CARE: we lost the track going there and got stuck in bushes. Just go to the hole and follow the path.

$20 for 2 persons in a car.
Only cold water. View is great, but too expensive for what you get. On sunny summer days this location could be really good.
