Amazing location away from main road, get there on a thursday for twilight golf (only $5 per person) and you can hire clubs too.
Friendly locals and access to club toilets and hot shower.

Best campground, large grassy area next to the river with a bunch of friendly cows to entertain - say hello to Craig the farmer if you see him around on his buggy - top bloke that offered heaps of advice
on what not to miss whilst in New Zealand. Drop toilet doesn't smell, BYO toilet paper.

Shared the large campground with only one other van in late November, gorgeous river views - good for swimming, easily accessible and lots of toilets (drop) around the grounds - bring your own toilet paper
!

Nice facilities made it worth the $15 each for unpowered site, great toilets, hot shower, large kitchen and laundry, powerpoints avaiable in kitchen and laundry.
Farm animals around would entertain kids. Perfect for catching the Picton ferry the following day half an hour drive away - allow an hour though in case of traffic.

Quiet campground with good toilets next to a creek, got very windy as it's a valley, wind and rain made it hard to do anything!
When it calmed there was nice walk through the redwood forest.

Great river, perfect for swimming, sunbaking or skipping rocks in late November.
After turning off the main road, follow the road down to the bridge on the right, after the bridge the first right turn off takes you down to a limited and great spot - drop toilet BYO paper. Walk along the riverside to find a pebble beach and gorgeous views.
