A lovely spot, the manager was very helpful and friendly.
Facilities are very good and clean. Only a few others there in October, so very peaceful.

Nice surroundings and a toilet on the sports ground. A bit breezy , but it is on the coast, so to be expected.

The only thing wrong with this site is you are in a car park!
Great position, the beach is beautiful and only a two minute walk. The view from the walk up the hill is stunning, makes it well worth the effort. Not many spaces though and all were taken the night we were there.

A good campsite with individual spots, having bushes between each spot.
Facilities are good and clean, and plenty of hot water for showers. We stayed 2 nights to do the Tongariro Crossing. Ideal place for this with shuttle buses to and from. Just felt it was a little pricey.

Facilities a little lacking (a little outdated and small for the number of campsites), especially given the price.
But the use of the hot pools more than made up for it. Lovely being able to use them first thing in the morning until late in the evening.

A great campsite, in a beautiful situation.
Beware if wet as it gets a bit boggy in areas. Facilities are good, but once the solar showers are finished it will definitely get a 10/10. Excellent value for money.

Outlook good, and quiet once the traffic stopped about 7pm. Saw kingfishers on the river.

What a position.
Lovely beach, great geology. About 30 minutes to the airport. Quiet and isolated. Just beautiful.
