A good place to stay for a night.
It is downtown at the wharf therefore you have some noise. Nevertheless you can save the parking costs if you go to Te Papa or shopping in Wellington. Showers and toilet are okay, keep in mind 39 parties are using them. The best spots are #1-20.

A perfect place to stay for a family.
Playground, huge grass areas, $12 per night (powered)! Facilities are basic, but absolutely okay. First enter Waverley, in town you have to do a turn left. Don't use the Lennox Road.
Even Waverley Village is perfect, tennis ground next to a huge playground for all ages.
Take care about the opening hours of the library (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat. till noon) Sunday closed!

Well, the last camping site in the golden bay, you are at the end of....
Only dry toilets, but no different to normal one. Only a 9 for the extra payment for showers. Everything is new or renovated. The living room was the best we had.
Thank you for your comments, happy you enjoyed your stay. Showers are only charged because we rely on rain water and if people decide to take long. long showers and we run out it cosst mega $'s and time to get water from 120 km away, no natural water line anywhere near the park.

It is a free campsite for all self-contained campers.
There was a lot of traffic during the night, on the road and at the camping place. The toilet could be much better.

Nice walk to the hole.
Don't miss the track to the viewing point. On the top you have an amazing view. The car park is also a DOC campsite. ($6 pp).

Quiet and nice.
Beautiful view and a good place for a swim. Beware of the sandflies. Dry toilet is okay. There are numbers for each parking bay.

The facilities are perfect, huge kitchen and dining room, free hot showers (only limited by the light timer) and a good laundry ($4).
The vote of 7 is given due to the fact that a 5 year old kid is charged as an adult ($20). Even the price of $50 for a powered site is high. However a good stay to prepare for the ferry passage.

A good place to stay for $10 (powered site for 2 adults and a child), the facilities are okay.
You get what you pay for. Toilets are simple, but clean. The iron water smells a bit. Large playground outside the door.
