Great campsite near the pancake rocks.
The kitchen was a bit small, showers were good. The field was a bit wet, but we arrived after a day of rain. Price was ok and the host was friendly.
Hi, thanks for your review, glad you had a good hot shower! Thanks to the sun :)

Good campsite, nice and clean facilities, large kitchen and a lot of showers and toilets.
A bit too expensive ($44, unpowered, 2 persons). You are on the flight path of the nearby airport, we didn't mind and didn't hear anything during the night.

Nice campsite along the beach, we had a beautiful sunset.
We had a non powered site, which was unfortunately on a carpark and a bit pricey. Facilities were good and clean. Good location to go if you need a powered site.

Cheap (1$0 per person) and an OK campsite if you need to take the ferry in the morning.
The host was very friendly. The parking spots are close to each other and the facilities are a bit old, but good value for money.

This camping is a good base for when you want to do the Tongariro Crossing.
We stayed here for one night $40 unpowered 2 persons, which is a bit expensive but the location is good. The campsite is OK with a nice kitchen and good and clean washrooms. The spots to stay are open for the unpowered sites so you feel a bit close to you neighbours.

Great campsite in a really nice location.
It was $30 (Nov 15) for the two of us and you get a really nice spot as well. You are near a beautiful beach just a 5 minute walk. There are two buildings one of them was closed in November but there weren't many others at that time. The kitchen was OK and the showers were good ($1 coin). It was 5 km from the main road but definitely worth the drive on a sealed road.

Beautiful location, really worth driving the 12 km gravel road.
Really quiet in the beginning of November, so we had the beautiful golden beach all for ourself. Toilet and showers are basic, but if you don't mind you should definitely stay here.

Nice campsite at the beach.
The owners just bought the place 7 months ago. There is a nice field to camp and the spots are spacious. The kitchen and washrooms are OK. Though you had to dry your hands with a towel, which could be improved. It was a bit expensive $40 in November for 2 persons and you had to pay for the showers as well. But overall a good campsite to stay the night.
Thank you for the review. We listen to all remarks and have since purchased hand blowers for our Ablution block bathrooms.
As for charging for showers this is a way to prevent people having a 30min shower, it saves money in the long run for everybody including the environment.
Thanks

This is a small campsite, which isn't that expensive at $26 for 2 persons on an unpowered site (Nov 15).
We used the Rankers App and according to the reviews this would be the best campsite during our 4 weeks travel around NZ. It was our last campsite as well, so the best for last. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment, maybe also due to the weather we couldn't fully enjoy the location, but there were only 2 showers and 2 sinks (1 men and 1 women). The kitchen was open, which is ok but there was only one spot to do the cooking or the dishes. You could use the pizza oven or BBQ as well. Although the App showed this campsite in the range between $10-20 per person it was one of the cheapest but definitely not the best that we have seen.

The campsite is good and not too expensive for the location (near Fox Glacier) in November.
The places on the campsite for campervans are ok. The kitchen is a bit small and there aren't enough showers, so we had to wait in the morning. Few minutes walk to the glow worms.
