From start to finish Go Rentals is the way to GO.
Flawless service and a great price. Doesn't matter whether you pick up at 2am like we did it was super easy and fast. Absolutely no dramas at all and would definitely have no issues to recommend to anyone and will also definitely rent from them again. Cheers. Jeff

There are no signs and no honesty box so it must be now free (and so it should be).
There is s new long drop toilet that looks good from the outside but unless you can hold your breath for as long as it takes to do your business it's not very pleasant especially for the ladies. Other than that it's a beautiful reserve. I used to come swimming here when I was a kid. Beware it is a fast flowing river with strong currents and rapids. Trout are there in numbers too, my son hooked 2 on the one night we stayed but wasn't able too land them. Enjoy & respect the environment please.

There are some bad reviews about this Holiday Park's managers/owners however it is under new management now and there are NO cameras in the toilet/showers.
The new owner Suzannah said that the first thing they did was to remove them and she was pleasant and helpful. The amenities are clean and functional but the park as a whole could do with a touch of modernisation. We only stayed for 1 night but it was the most expensive paid park we stayed at during our 9 day central North Island tour and it was the only one where we had to pay to have a shower and the meters seemed to give mixed results. The Clarks Beach area is beautiful, just wish we had more time and my boat to go fishing there.
On consultation with other parks in the Auckland /Franklin district our prices are the same or lower.
As new owners we are aware of the need for modernisation and we have begun to work on this. All suggestions are appreciated.
2018 the showers are now part of the fees to stay so no extra payments required anymore.
