A group of 6 of us stayed used the holiday park to do the 3 day Whanganui river journey and its was brilliant.
We stayed in a cabin the night before and had a good nights sleep, comfy and clean!
The price of the trip was really reasonable, canoes and equipment in great nick, it's clear these guys take safety seriously. Most importantly they are really friendly and make you feel really welcome. We were able to leave our car at the campsite and get ferried to and from the river in the minibus as part of the cost.
We had ice cold beers waiting for us at the end of the trip-much needed after 3 days of paddling!
My only regret is not staying at the holiday park longer. Highly recommend this place, I will be sending people their way :)
Hi Catherine - WOW - Thanks for the great review!! And thanks for choosing to do the canoe trip and stay with us at the Holiday Park. Brrrr, we have started pulling out a few more of the hot drinks now as it is getting a wee bit chilly for the ice cold beers - but no doubt next summer our canoeists will be getting an icy treat!!
