Fair sized unpowered site next to the stream but quite a small campsite overall.
Nice walks nearby. Good, clean and adequate powerful showers. WiFi costs extra and you have to buy it from reception. The common area has ping pong (buy a ball from reception for $1) and a pool table.
Thank you for your feedback. Its great you were able to enjoy the Ross Creek walkways and hope you were able to see the glow worms after dark. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

We stayed here after coming off the ferry and had a warm welcome from the owner.
Definitely appreciated the warm muffins on arrival! They give you pellets to feed to their pet farm animals. I recommend meeting Molly the pig, she is a real character. Showers, toilets and kitchen /lounge area are in good condition. Good pressure showers and no time limit which is always a bonus. The owner was very friendly and was happy to take the time to chat with us a bit. Highly recommended campsite if you like farm animals and a peaceful setting.
Thank you for your lovely review Jade. We're pleased that you got to meet Molly...she loves all the attention she gets and is our gentle giant! Not sure if you had the time to go up to the waterfall and see the glow worms, but hopefully you saw them elsewhere in your travels. All the very best for the rest of your trip. Kind Regards, Barbara and Chris

Nice owner who gave us a good private unpowered site (number 48 I think).
They have a hot tub but that costs extra and we didn't use it. Nice setting and well priced. Probably need a car to get to town centre.

Good, hot powerful showers and near the beach.
Some farm animals to see on site. The unpowered sites were pretty close together, more like parking spaces so not a lot of privacy. I'd recommend Fat Pipi's in town for pizza and a short 5 minute walk across the street from the campsite to see the glow worms.

Lovely setting with good facilities and good added extras (pool table, table tennis, kayaks).
Good views across the lake - only a 5 minute walk. 10 minute drive to central Rotorua. A good option if you are in the area. Friendly owner. Enjoyed feeding the ducks!

Good sites but pretty windy.
Nice stream running through the campsite and lots of nice walks with ducks and eels to see! However, not much to do locally. If you want to eat out you will need to drive to the nearest town. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated.

We had a really good time here.
The owner was friendly and did us a good deal on a tourist cabin. Used the laundry - washing machine and dryer both work well. Showers take a dollar coin for 5 mins. There is also an on site pub which also does meals. Good to have a place with some atmosphere to go to in the evening. I enjoyed getting to play with the gorgeous fluffy Lucky the cat!

Lots of space and not marked out sites so you can choose your own spot, which we liked.
Very friendly owner and reasonably priced. Easy beach access for a walk in the evening. Basic facilities in good working order.

Clean, good showers that work really well and are hot.
Lots of spacing for unpowered sites where you can pick your own spot. Friendly staff. Easy walking distance to town. There is public access to the park through a gate onto the main street at one end which may bother some people if sleeping in a tent or car/camper van.
