We payed $30 for two.
Could use showers and kitchen. The kitchen was very full the night we stayed there so we just cooked in the van. Small museum. Great place to stay if going up to Milford the next morning and less expensive than staying in the Milford campground. Drove on a dirt road for a while but everything is well marked.

We stayed here after kayaking in Milford Sound.
We had an incredibly long day and were able to roll in and find a spot all the way at the end before the bridge next to the river. Only $6 per person.

This is just the parking lot for the Diamond Lake hike.
Easy to find and a great free place if you want to hike the next morning. You can park off the road and it is quiet!

This is where we spent our first night with our campervan and nothing else even came close!
The view of Mt Cook is stunning (great sunset)! There are many spots and campers were spread out. It was a little windy but didn't bother us. There are some spots that require going over some more tough ground, but nothing our campervan couldn't handle!
BEST FREE SPOT FOR SURE!

This is the absolute best way to see the sound!!!!
We had a fabulous guide and 4 double kayaks in our group (they keep the groups small so that is super nice). We took the 12km trip at 9 am and it was great! They have everything you need to wear and make sure you are comfortable. Our guide Marley was fantastic and shared great facts about the area with us! We saw seals and penguins and a mother dolphin and her baby swam under our kayak! Fantastic experience!

The best showers you will find!
Seriously...so nice! We payed $32 for two and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived about 4 and were given food to feed the animals. The sites were far from full and there were also cabins available. Strict 10am checkout policy. They provide internet, sell fresh eggs, have a clean kitchen (free), and laundry room ($) for use. Owner was fairly short with us but then warmed up after we asked him a couple questions.

We showed up very late after the blue penguin show and still got a spot.
We pulled in to the first spot we saw and went to bed (after 11pm). When we woke up in the morning, we had a beautiful view of the beach through the bushes. It was such a fun surprise! Slightly difficult to find in the dark but we had a gps that got us there. Great walk on the beach the next morning! We would have loved to donated a few dollars since it was free camping but didn't see where to do that.

We were so glad we chose Discover NZ for our campervan!
When we picked it up, we were given a thorough overview of how to use all the features inside and out. We did not have any mechanical issues but knew that if we did, we could call Tony and he would take card of us! We wished we could of had it for longer as it was such a nice way to see New Zealand!
